Doctoria™ secures RTO Catapult Grant to support NHS market entry
Doctoria™ Ltd has secured support through the RTO Catapult Grant Scheme for a project focused on developing the pricing, procurement and market-entry strategy for its real-time medical interpretation solution within the NHS.
A project focused on NHS maternity services
The project, “Pricing and procurement routes into the NHS for Doctoria™'s Real Time Interpretation Solution,” will initially focus on NHS maternity services, where clear communication between clinicians and patients is particularly important throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and postnatal care.
Interpretation built for clinical settings
Doctoria™ has developed an AI-assisted real-time medical interpretation platform designed specifically for healthcare settings. The technology enables clinicians and patients who do not share a common language to communicate in real time, using healthcare-specific terminology and workflows rather than relying on general-purpose translation tools.
Beyond maternity services
The aim is to establish a commercially validated route into NHS maternity services that can subsequently be adapted for other clinical settings where language barriers affect patient care, including emergency medicine, primary care and outpatient services.
The project builds on Doctoria™'s existing engagement with NHS stakeholders and will support the company's transition from product development towards commercial deployment. Doctoria™ plans to use the resulting evidence and market-entry framework to support future NHS pilots and commercial discussions.
